It was the most difficult day of the Prophet Muhammad's life (peace and blessings upon him).
After a series of personal trials — including the passing of his uncle and beloved wife Khadija (peace be upon her) — he set out to call the people of Ta`if to Islam hoping they'd be more receptive to the message than the Meccans had been.
The response he received was far from hospitable. Not only did they reject the message, they chased him out of the city and had their children throw rocks at him until he was bleeding from the assault.
Finally, he left the city and took refuge in a garden. That's when Allah gave him the option to destroy the entire city, and everyone in it, by crushing them between two mountains for the way they treated him.
Tune in to hear what choice he made (peace and blessings upon him).
